We’ve been thinking recently how a wedding dress, usually a one-wear-only item if you decide to purchase it, is by definition one of the most unsustainable pieces. Some time ago, we already wrote about why sustainable fashion matters to us. We’ll soon dedicate a separate post to the topic of all the possible alternatives to buying a brand new dress. But for a start, we decided to show how an upcycled wedding dress can look as beautiful and unique (if not even more) as any new one.

Upcycled Wedding Dress

The piece that we used for this inspirational styled bridal session is a unique handmade upcycled wedding dress which Ursha made from her old grandma’s curtains. Making it was an emotional journey on itself and we hope she is proudly looking down from somewhere above the clouds.

This was another small personal project that symbolically represents the things we stand for.

More simplicity. Less obsession with details.

More honesty. Less fakeness.
More following your heart. Less following the imposed standards of society.
More vulnerability. Less fear.
More respect and love for nature. Less materialism.
More finding happiness and peace within.

Thank you Amadeja for believing in our vision and trusting us with what we do.
