Soca Valley Wedding
Soca Valley Wedding
This Emerald river valley never ceases to amaze with its pristine nature and unique views. Although small, it is packed with picturesque mountains, rivers and lovely little villages. Capturing a Soca Valley wedding certainly reminds us how appreciative we can be to live in such a special part of the world.
Relaxed wedding day
The couple decided for a simple and relaxed wedding. Above all, they wanted to celebrate this day with the people closest to them. No tight schedule, lots of time to chat and hang out. It started with a church ceremony in a magnificent church amidst the mountains, just a short distance from bride’s home village. After some toasts and congratulations, also from the locals, the couple and their guests hit the road as the day continued with an indoor reception in Bar Slatenik, Cezsoca. Not far along the way we stopped by the road just for a few quick photos. There happened to be a spot that offers a view of the bride’s home village. Later we also made a bit longer stop by the Soca river to capture some moments alone, just with the two of them.
Although the weather forecast for the day wasn’t very promising, seems like the clouds were on their side. Apart from a few drops of rain, it stayed dry right until dinner time. Another proof that counting on the forecast is often useless. But sending good vibes and staying hopeful helps 🙂
Although both Slovenians, the couple lives and workes abroad for some time now. Therefore we wanted to create some photos that would remind them of their homeland’s pristine nature. At the same time we did not want to steal too much of their time, keeping them away from their guests. Luckily the location we had in mind was practically on our way to the reception so we stopped for a short and relaxed walk by the river. Just a perfect break before the evening party.
