Couple trip to the Miramare Castle
Happy to share this sunny Miramare Castle couple session with two special souls. We fell in love with this beautiful charming castle a long time ago. Hence we were really excited to get a chance to capture some new memories there. It is a 19th-century castle on the Gulf of Trieste, northeastern Italy. The Austrian Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian had it built from 1856 to 1860 for himself and his beautiful wife, Charlotte of Belgium. It was their love nest, isolated between the sea and the magnificent green park. Their love story unfortunately ended way too soon with Maximilian being shot at the age of 34. A legend holds that Carlotta’s anger at the loss of her beloved husband was so blind that the woman cursed the castle.
Connections that go beyond the wedding day
To be honest – it often actually feels strange going home on the wedding day. After being part of so many personal moments, after seeing and feeling every step of the couple’s way, thinking: “Is this it? We’re probably not gonna meet each other again?”
But luckily some connections with our couples go beyond just their wedding day and we could not be happier about it. That’s certainly one of the many sides of our work that we truly enjoy. It is a privilege to see their relationship and love blossoming into a long lasting connection.
Here we are sharing a few moments from our recent trip with Ana and Matija to Miramare Castle, a beautiful charming castle in Italy. We still remember the excitement and helping her choose her Chi Chi dress for the occasion. It fitted this romantic scenery perfectly. It was also one of the first really warm spring days so we were soaking up the sun happily.
